PIANO TUNING

Our piano tuning business has grown over nearly 20 years. Ben still tunes for local customers and Vicky and Richard tune for us on a regular basis. Both are qualified piano tuners who work with great skill and professionalism. We operate a call back system to ensure that your piano is regularly tuned and advise on all aspects of piano care. We can also carry out minor repairs, regulation and voicing. Ben is a fully qualified member of the Pianoforte Tuners Association and continues to attend advanced technical classes and master classes to develop skills and learn new techniques.

PIANOS TRANSPORTATION

Neil has been transporting pianos for 30 years. His experience and professionalism is invaluable to our business. Please contact us for a quote if you have a piano that needs to be moved. With the opening of our latest showroom Neil is now equipped to move grand pianos up to approx 6ft in addition to the uprights.

RESTORATION

We have recently teamed up with a local workshop to offer a full piano restoration service. A restored piano is only as good as the restoration work carried out on it. We offer the finest British skilled craftsmanship, with over 50 years combined experience, and use the finest quality materials to produce the best possible performance from each piano restored. Every restored piano comes with a 5 year guarantee. We will often feature restored instruments in our showroom.

HOME VISITS

Many times in the past we have visited homes and advised on the piano requirement. This can be advice on style to match a certain interior, or a particular piano to complement the acoustic of a room. We carry templates of grand pianos to demonstrate the space they would take up, and will advise on positioning within the room.

A recent example is featured in the images to the left where we were called in to advise on the suitability of a grand piano in an entrance hall. We used templates on the initial visit to discuss suitable positioning and followed that by delivering a grand piano on trial to gauge the look in the allocated space. We then went on to source a suitably styled piano which was then fully restored including a traditional french polished cabinet. The lower image shows the beautiful Grotrian Steinweg piano in its final resting place looking stunning in a recently renovated entrance hall.
