The Kawai GL-10 is a 5’0″ (153cm) baby grand and the most compact instrument in Kawai’s GL Series, offering the authentic feel and voice of a grand piano in a footprint that suits everyday British rooms.
Its Millennium III action, built with carbon-fibre reinforced parts, gives a light, quick and even response across the full 88 notes, so both delicate and powerful playing feel effortless. A solid spruce, tapered soundboard and Kawai’s signature underfelted hammers produce a warm, singing tone that is rounded rather than bright, the quality players return to again and again.
Beneath the lid it is seriously well made, with a V-Pro iron plate, an 11-ply laminated pinblock and one of the widest stretcher bars in its class for lasting tuning stability. A soft-fall fallboard adds peace of mind in a family home.
